Caregivers, Let’s Celebrate You: Month of Gratitude 2025
At Family Resource Home Care, we know caregivers are the heart of what we do. That’s why June is so important to us—it’s our 6th annual Month of Gratitude 2025, and it’s all about YOU. This month-long celebration is our way of thanking you for the care, compassion, and dedication you bring to our clients and their families every single day.
Why the Month of Gratitude Matters for Caregivers
We do this every year because you deserve to feel appreciated not just once, but all month long. Caregiving can be both incredibly rewarding and deeply challenging, and it’s easy to forget to pause and reflect on all the ways you’ve made an impact.
The Month of Gratitude 2025 is our opportunity to recognize your efforts, lift each other up, and build a lasting habit of thankfulness—both for the work you do and for the strength and heart you bring to it. When caregivers support each other and celebrate their wins, big or small, we all thrive.
Our Weekly Challenges: Gratitude Inspired by the States We Serve
This year’s theme is States of Gratitude—a tribute to the real states where our teams live and work (Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado) and the internal “states” of gratitude we hope to cultivate together. Each week in June is rooted in one of those regions, inspiring a new way to celebrate what keeps you grounded, growing, and going strong.
1. Rooted in Gratitude for Idaho
Idaho teaches us to appreciate the strong roots we rely on—our support systems, values, and passions. This week is about grounding yourself in what truly matters.
Caregiver Challenge Ideas:
-
Journal daily about the people or things that help you stay strong
-
Plant something to symbolize growth—just like the growth you bring to others
-
Make a collage of your “why” as a caregiver
-
Text or call someone who helped you on your caregiving journey
2. Evergreen Gratitude for Washington
Washington’s evergreen forests remind us to stay grateful through every season. Even on the tough days, you show up with heart—and that’s worth celebrating.
Caregiver Challenge Ideas:
-
Write down one challenge and one bright spot each day
-
Surprise a coworker or client with a small thank-you
-
Team up with a caregiver buddy to share daily gratitudes
-
Take a mindful walk and reflect on how far you’ve come
3. Trailblazing Gratitude for Oregon
Oregon’s spirit of adventure mirrors the courage you show every day as a caregiver. This week is about honoring the bold steps you’ve taken and the growth they’ve sparked.
Caregiver Challenge Ideas:
-
Try something new, whether at work or home, and reflect on the experience
-
Thank someone who inspired you to start caregiving
-
Share a time a failure led to growth—you’re stronger because of it
-
Start a “courage jar” to track the brave things you do, even the little ones
4. The Summit of Gratitude for Colorado
Colorado’s mountains represent all the challenges you’ve overcome. This week is about recognizing your journey and taking pride in the peaks you’ve reached.
Caregiver Challenge Ideas:
-
Reflect on five major caregiving milestones and give yourself credit
-
Do something for yourself to celebrate a recent win
-
Help a newer caregiver with advice, encouragement, or support
-
Create a visual “summit map” of your personal and professional growth
Wrapping It Up with Spirit Week
To finish strong, our final week includes Spirit Dress-Up Week! It’s a chance to bring some fun into your day, build connection with fellow caregivers, and show your team spirit. Whether it’s silly socks, themed days, or fun accessories, let’s close out June with laughter and joy.
